The MicroFlex 60B from Micro Express ranks among the best with a 256 MB Radeon graphics card, a 2.6 GHz Anthlon 64 X2 processor with dual core technology and a 250GB hard drive. This is an excellent PC for the gamer who is looking for the entire package for under $2000 and is the “TopTenREVIEWS Bronze Award” winning gaming computer.
This desktop falls short of the top two computers, the Gateway and Alienware, in that it has a lower end graphics card; however, the MicroFlex outperforms both of these PCs with a two–year warranty.
This Anthlon 64 X2 FX60 Dual Core CPU has a blazing system bus speed of 2600 MHz. This is faster than any processor in the computers at this price range. The processor runs at 2.6 GHz. In other words, the MicroFlex’s processor will handle the demanding games you enjoy.
With 2 GB of RAM, the Micro Express should have enough memory to run any large game effortlessly. This computer also has two more slots available and will support up to 4 GB.
The Microflex 60B has a 250 GB hard drive, which falls well short of Gateway’s 500 GB. Nevertheless, it’s more than enough for the average gamer.
The Micro Express MicroFlex comes standard with a 256 MB Radeon graphics card. Though this card is inferior to NVIDIA’s GeForce, it still produces life–like graphics with crisp colors and vibrant details. This PC, at this price, comes with Realtek AL C850 8 channel CODEC.
The MicroFlex comes with a number of accessories. This is one of the few PCs where what you see in the picture is what you get. The valuable accessories include a Microsoft Internet Keyboard, a 19” LCD flat panel monitor, an Intellimouse and 4.1 surround sound speakers. Your games will sound great with the benefits of surround sound.
At $1,999, the MicroFlex is fairly budget–friendly considering this computer package comes ready to use with Windows XP Media Center Edition and the necessary accessories. However, they do charge $75 shipping, handling (more or less depending on where you live), and an insurance fee.
Micro Express comes with a 2–year parts and labor warranty, which is good to have with any computer. If you need technical support or have a question about their computers, you can contact customer service via email or telephone.
If you’re looking for a new gaming computer, Micro Express is an option you should look into. You get everything you need, including surround sound speakers, for under $2000.
