TopTenREVIEWS

This big–time gaming machine comes in a small package that is easy to tote to a LAN party.

The Shuttle XPC 2700w comes with a 1 GB RAM.

Processor:   Excellent

The Shuttle comes with a 2.2 GHz AMD Opteron 1214. Though this processor is dual core, it still has a slower front side bus than any other processor in this review.

Memory:   Excellent

This PC comes with a GB of RAM and a 250 GB hard drive.

Video/Audio:   Excellent

This system comes standard with an ATI FIreGL V3400 Graphics card and 7.1 integrated sound.

I/O Device:   Excellent

This package only has the tower. You’ll have to add all of the peripherals. They offer a number of different towers from which you can choose. Some of the towers are portable so you can take your gaming machine to a friend’s home.

Value/Price:   Excellent

The computer starts at $1,649. Plan to spend some extra money on your peripherals. We added comparable peripherals and the price came to $2,093 (not including shipping and tax).

Support/Warranty:   Excellent

You can contact Shuttle through email, and phone but they don’t have the convenient instant chat feature. Each PC comes with a 1–year warranty.

Summary:

The Shuttle P2 2700w is a nice system, but if you’re looking for a top–notch gaming computer, go with one of the higher–ranking systems. You’ll get more for your money.
